MissBackpage is a user-generated content platform. All listings, images, and content are posted by users through the platform's publishing infrastructure.

MissBackpage does not pre-screen, review, or verify content before it is posted by users. Content appears on the platform as submitted by users.

Copyright Infringement Policy

MissBackpage respects copyright law and responds to valid takedown notices submitted in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Upon receipt of a complete and valid DMCA takedown notice, MissBackpage will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content as required by law.

How to Submit a DMCA Notice

To submit a DMCA takedown notice, send a written notice to MissBackpage's designated agent that includes the following information:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or if multiple works are involved, a representative list of such works
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including the specific URL(s) or location(s) where the material appears on MissBackpage
  • Contact information for the copyright owner or authorized agent, including name, address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed
  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent

DMCA notices must be complete and include all required elements to be processed. Incomplete notices may not be acted upon.

DMCA notices should be sent to MissBackpage's designated agent via the contact form or by mail to the address provided on the contact page.

Counter-Notification

If content is removed due to a DMCA takedown notice, the user who posted the content may submit a counter-notification as permitted by law.

A valid counter-notification must include:

  • Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  • Contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email address
  • Consent to jurisdiction in the user's location or a designated jurisdiction
  • A physical or electronic signature

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, MissBackpage may restore the content in accordance with DMCA procedures, unless the copyright owner files an action seeking a court order.

Repeat Infringers

MissBackpage may restrict or terminate accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of copyright, in accordance with applicable law and platform policies.
